About Natalie

I've been a resident of the Coachella Valley since December 2014 and enjoy the desert (even the heat). I’ve worn many hats in various industries Recording; Motion Pictures;  Retail; Non-Profit; Independent Consulting; and Marketing and Promotions.

I am particularly proud of working with the committee that established the guidelines for copyright legislation for recording artists.  Also, during my time with the non-profit, I participated with the local leadership on legislative preparation for the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

As a independent consultant I provided audits and evaluations of businesses, management/sales teams, entertainment venues, operations, customer services, and fine dining restaurants. Additionally, I've worked with companies to promote green technology through Eco-Friendly products.

More recently, I've been doing marketing and communications; freelance writing, website management, establishing network connections and supporting local businesses in their brand development.

All of these experiences has led me to recognize the value and importance of being involved in community and building relationships; and as a result I have:

  • Served as a board member of the Desert Sands Educational Foundation.

  • Currently I'm on the Coachella Valley Committee of The Unforgettables Foundation.

  • Joined the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) Palm Desert Chapter.  In 2017-19 served on the Chapter Board as Membership Chair. Since 2018 Editor of the Monthly Newsletter; and currently the Chapter President 2019-2020, 2020-2021.

  • I have been a member of our local Chambers of Commerce and served as Chamber Ambassador for both the Palm Desert and Greater Coachella Valley Chambers of Commerce.

On a personal note:

There are times you will find me in an alley (pre-COVID-19) chasing the perfect game (as a Left-Handed Bowler). Other times, I’m a student of art and painting. The best facts to know about me are:  I love my family, I love coffee, I love writing and I am loyal to my friends. As a life-long student, I am most proud of the fact that I do know that I do not know everything and I still have much to learn.

My favorite quote is:

"If you don't like how things are, change it. You're not a tree" ~Jim Rohn ~

Here's a bonus fact:

During the 1964 New York World’s Fair, I visited the Parker Pen Pavilion and filled out a slip for a Pen Pal.  I was matched to a young man from England and we began corresponding.  We have never met in person and after all these years, still write to one another - yes, we send actual letters, no emails or text messages.
